We only got to finalize our entourage last night, after getting confirmation from the people who we want by our side on our special day. For me, it was easy. Even before being proposed to, i already knew who i would be having as my bridesmaids. From the time we became really close friends in high school, my girls have always stood by my side and have supported me in every decision (stupid or not) and pointless drama, despite being scattered in different parts of the world. So they just had to be the ones. Since some of them won’t be around (Roose – would have left to return to Australia by then; Gee – unable to come home from New Zealand; Blair and Vica – unable to ...
Inasmuch as i had wanted to be a hands-on DIY bride as much as possible on the the preparations of my wedding, distance (and the circumstances of such distance) has not permitted me to do so. As some of you may already know, my Mom got sick this year and i couldn’t afford to not visit her in the States, thus we spent a month with her in Vegas, literally consuming my allotted leave credits for this year which was supposed to be utilized for the wedding planning, most important of which were the processing of papers required by the Church. But nevertheless, that trip was an awesome one that we don’t regret at all. Luckily, work conditions here allow us to use our public holidays ...
After months of careful deliberation, negative reactions here and there, we eventually settled with our final venue for our wedding reception. I have always dreamed of a garden wedding with all the fancy lights and decos, so typically, Chateau de Busay was our first choice. With that, Tops Lookout was then opened up – the reason being was that not much weddings in Cebu have held their reception here so ours would be unique and it would be in a close proximity to the Groom’s residence. I was quite reluctant at first on having our reception here, but after some thought, agreed since it would be fun to fancy up the place and because it gave an awesome view of the city we ...
One fine night during the best time of the year, as the moon started to wink up above, i threw my wishes right away to Him – to please do tell my soulmate that it’s been quite a long of time that i’ve been waiting for HER. Indeed, in just one snap of my fingers, He heard me. A good friend of mine, the carrier of the gift, introduced me to this witty, sassy, and well mannered thug, yet angelic Lady. Of course i didn’t waste my time and on the spot i shouted aloud up to heaven above: “Thank You Lord God for my early CHRISTMAS Gift’. This was dated December 7, 2012 when the greatest two lovers collided. I didn’t let the night pass by with not ...
On December 08, 2014 – exactly 2 years after we first met, we went out on a date to celebrate our 2nd year anniversary. For me, it was just a typical night out: dinner and a drink or two afterwards. Little did I know that this night would change my life and the course of our relationship forever. Now that I come to think of it, Tebo was actually quite obvious days and weeks prior to our anniversary. He kept on mentioning that he was going to give me a big surprise, an early Christmas present. And he kept on insisting that we spend our special day in Clarke Quay – where we were first introduced, to make our anniversary a more meaningful one, and something that I will ...
I never believed in love at first sight, until WE happened. I met James through a common friend of ours who came with my close friend Koleen‘s parents for a holiday in Singapore. Clau2x was my workmate in CCMC and James’ college friend, and she set us up that faithful Friday night. I was hesitant to show up, just having gotten out of a toxic relationship, i wasn’t really ready to jump into a new one. I guess I made the right choice boarding the train to Clarke Quay. 😀 It turns out, we had a lot of common history, friends and interests as well! It’s a small world indeed – we were both public servants in the local youth governing sector from our previous ...

We had our engagement shoot done by Blinkbox Photos who were not only professional, but were also great in making me and Tebo feel like we were all just a bunch of friends hanging out and having fun. They did not make us feel awkward (because we both totally don’t know how to pose!!! :D) during the session at all, and i guess that should be one of the qualities that you should look for in a wedding photographer – to make the ambience a familiar one to bring out the couple’s most natural selves. This site’s wonderful photos are their creation. I was also lucky to have by my side two Queens in Cebu. Our shoot was styled by Queen Stylist Gizelle Faye of Cuckoo ...
So one night, we got bored, and did our own “Save the Date” shoot using a couple of stuff we purchased from Typo! 🙂 We fought that night as usual, on the props, setup, and on the picture-taking. *hehe* We had a few attempts only since it was already late, it took time to travel from pressing the timer button to posing, and we were tired. So here’s the outcome of our first DIY shoot for the wedding. 🙂
(..in terms of his outfit on the day, that is!) So we got to collect James’ altered suit from T. M. Lewin this afternoon, after 2 weeks from the date of purchase. It fit him perfectly! 😊😊😊 We’re both very happy that at least one of us has got his gear ready for the big day. We even got his shoes today as well! This is a big milestone in the preparations coz it means that one requisite has been ticked off our list, giving us room to concentrate on everything else, after already having booked our Church. 😉 I promise during the next following weeks, I will concentrate on my own ensemble, already having the ideas and concepts on hand. ✋🏼 We’re less than 6 ...
